Topsham Food Festival
June 1-3, 2012

A weekend celebration of local food and community

Provisional programme all subject to obtaining the permissions needed. But in order for folks to pencil events into their diaries here is the proposed schedule:

Friday 1st June night – showing of food films with picnics

Saturday 2nd June– Mini Food Fair, with Demos etc on the Quay
Evening Music on the Quay – with a host of Local Artists performing

Sunday 3rd June – Preparation for Nello's Longest Table- please volunteer to help set up the longest table!
Nello’s Longest Table - Pre-dinner drinks 5pm to eat at 6pm

Main points for the event:

This is a community event so many hands make light work – in previous years we have been grateful for all those who have helped. Everyone who takes part is expected to do their little bit, and so far they have in abundance. This is the reason it has worked so well in Topsham, thank you.

Our aim is to highlight the Slow Food ethos of having great food from wonderful resources and sharing with friends. With nearly 2000 people last time that is one big share and a great achievement .

Remember to support your local shops, grow your own ingredients if you like and get your kids involved in menu planning, growing etc. Not just for June but all year round!
