taste workshops, live music, and Italian friendship

not only the wealth of outstanding food and drink that we enjoy
in Topsham, but above all, what a special community we are.

The weekend programme:
FRIDAY- “food” films
with The Topsham Film Society, Matthews Hall
Two great food films will be shown - 6pm Big
Night (“A
big-hearted delight” – Time Out) and 8pm
Mostly Martha (“Touching, loving and … hunger-making” – The
Independent).
Bring a picnic to enjoy in the interval. Bar opens
at 5.30.
Admission £4 for one or both films.
SATURDAY 11am-4pm - Topsham
Food Festival Workshops
Sample local food and drink, watch chefs at work, wine and beer
masterclasses, join in cooking workshops for all the family. Workshops
and internatinal demonstrations will take place in "The
Global Village at The Globe"; the Pebblebed Tasting Cellar;
and at Darts
Farm.
Highlights
include Gerald David parading his prize cow (there will be a ‘Plot
the Pat!’ competition) and James Chubb preparing
a ‘rock pool paella’ at Darts
Farm; a children’s taste
workshop with food writer Natacha du Pont de Bie, a ‘Seed to Loaf’ roadshow
demonstrating the transformation of Topsham-grown wheat into bread rolls
with organic farmer Ian Shears, and a demonstration of hand-making of
tajarin pasta with Italian one-star Michelin chef Fulvio Siccardi in
The Globe; and a tasting of Topsham brewed ales with local brewing enthusiast
Greg Towning as well as a Nebbiolo masterclass with winemaker Mario Fontana
in the Pebblebed Tasting Cellar.

Eat, drink and be merry, dance the night away
Music ranges from a classical wind quintet to jazz and rock and
featuring
The Windbags
and
local legends
The Beluga Blues
Come hungry because there will be some fantastic foods, including
a pig roast by Kenniford Farm; grilled
meats, vegetarian skewers and salads by Antonia's Kitchen;
a fish
and shellfish barbeque by Dave Kerley of The
Fish Shed; focaccia and pizza cooked in Ian Shears'
mobile wood-fired oven; juices and ciders by Heron Valley; Pebblebed
wines and more.
SUNDAY 10am-2pm - Slow Food Devon
Topsham Market
Purchase local foods for our evening communal feast from the Slow
Food Market as well as from Topsham's excellent
food and drink shops and from Darts
Farm.
SUNDAY 10am-4pm Art

SUNDAY afternoon - Fore Street to be closed
in preparation for:
